Plan before la you

I brought plate, mug and bread however I forgot to bring my spoon!!! I was about to eat my bread this morning when I realized that I don't have any spoon. So pity of me. I'll be visiting (Its weird verb to use now that I am no longer a tenant) First Avenue tonight. Am using the luggage inside my room and hopefully everything that is important fits into that medium size bag.

How is hall?
Where should I start? I simply love it. I have the longest study desk I ever used in my life. The space was not managed properly at this point. Prove? Look at this pic.

The internet?
Its like Espeed, or probably Espeed version UK. I watched Vampire Knight Guilty last night and it took approximately 5 minutes to stream the whole 25 minutes episode. I am paying a monthly subscriptions but I don't know how long the contract last. I didn't bother to check since I really need to finish my Advanced Statistics Assignments. There is other reason for my urgency, one that involved one of my reader. : )

I was in an IM when the bloody internet disconnected on me. Imagine my frustration. It took me almost an hour (It felt like it, didn't bother because I was in state of utter madness) to fix the connection. I reset the computer 2 times. Shut it down 2 times. The internet didn't compromise. Mocking my effort as if I could handle a minute without internet in the room. Can you just imagine, disconnected in the middle of the conversation and to add on my misery its the only communication channel I have with him atm. Thank God I fixed the internet. I could not imagine me without internet in my room and not be able to chat with you.

What really happened? City Centre have a lot of Internet Networks. My so overwork wireless detected multiple signals and this confused Tech (My lappy). The situation is made worse when I labelled my keysurf connection as public. I calmed down. I restored my internet to before I set the new connnections and when keysurf was detected, I labelled it as private. The rest of the connection were made public. I also resat the router. And it worked perfectly fine now. I don't need to switch off the wireless because keysurf is prioritized over the rest of them.

I am really sorry that the cable wire is not long enough, so I decided to take these pictures just for you. Eh Lisyah, why so good to him? Mind your damn business.

My toilet. The place where all yellow and brown go.

The cabinet from the outside.

The cabinet from the inside.

Sorry, don't know how to rotate. That bottle is my gayung. I try using just toilet paper but it didnt went well. I salute the orang putih for successfully mastering cleaning punggung using toilet paper.

The shower. Enough room for two. The water also good.

I have problem with my heater. Sometimes its warm, sometimes its not warm. I should ask the guys if they got similar problem. I should really take William's advise seriously about putting pile of water next to my head during sleeping. He said can elimate dry throat in the morning.

I miss my mommy. I miss my daddy. I miss my siblings. I looked at the key chain my brother gave me and I felt sad.

I am so happy right now because I found out something that (Insert). Its a secret for me to keep and nobody to find out. What should I do with it? Maybe go there or maybe go here. Haha

Have a nice day.

No Internet Till November???

Im writing this post from library. I yet to set up the internet connection in my room. According to...Qeeran...or was it Kyerin...(My Caucasian hallmate) its expensive. 200 +++ pound for a year contract. I wonder if I could choose monthly subscription. Speed is up to 8mb. Not bad.
Summer is my hallmate!!! Hahaha. Always bump into this guy. Fated to be together...hahahahahaha. 6 more people to socialize with. What do you called that little hole on the door? So basically from that little hole I saw two caucasian guys [Luke (K?eera?n told me about him)and another tall dude], three chinese, one Indian or Pakistan...not sure but definetely size XL dude. Total 6. Chinese, India, Malay and Caucasian. CIMC. lame...
Can I survive without internet??? I should buy the BT 6 pound till allowance/cheque approved. Or maybe walk to the mainbuilding. Open 24 hour. So many choices...
Have a nice day.
(I got 5 Baju Raya!!!!, why would I bring so many????)

Shock

*Click Balance Enquiry*
*Pause for 5 second*
*Digits appear on screen*
*Me sulk*

Earlier I didnt want to go to the Oriental Halloween Party because I promised to cook for my housemates. Then we finished earlier than I anticipated. Look at my mobile phone, and its 9 0' clock. The door opened at 22.oo. Planned to buy the ticket at the main entrance but remembered my account was exhausted. So sad.

I got sore throat. Despite the difficulty in producing speech, I sang a lot of songs. I love singing. Its relaxing and calming.

Oh, am joining the gym next month.

I love cooking. Its fun and rewarding when people love it.

Moving into halls tomorrow. The feeling inside is a mix of happiness and sadness. Am gonna miss my housemates. If only Aston is nearer and my room was bigger and my workload has not increase, I'll still be living with them.

The best thing that happened to me so far:

1. Having Michelle as my mentee.
2. Live in Lakeside. (Believe it or not, before I went to Aston I daydreamed that one day I'll be staying in Lakeside)
3. The coming back of an old friend. Hopefully he thinks the same way or ....not. Oh well, one must not expect others to think the same way as one does.

The worst thing that happened to me so far:

1. Found out I have a lot of haters. I never thought that I could attract so much haters into my life in a span of one day. I should really choose my words carefully.
2. Found out that I am indeed the lamest emcee ever to host BSU raya. I am sorry guys for spoiling what could have been the best raya ever.

Have a nice day.

Best Dress...me?

Yes, I won the best dress for the Birmingham MASOC raya event. I loved the food. Me, William, Hazim, Marcus and one dude went for the event. William is a humorous huge fella. Saw Haqif, Halida and Fifi at the gathering. Made friend with Eliza, a very beautiful final year chemical engineering Malaysian.

I won:

I have not open the wrapper but according to Marcus, its a toaster. How did he knew? His friend was the one who wrapped the gifts for the event. Well that's another toaster for me.

Found out that my mentee is a she. And there is 90% chances I know this girl. Its the new beautiful girl I've been raving about....in my head. Meeting her this Friday.

Im blogging from the library using my trusty lappy. Guess what? She's here. Yes. The one and only ****. There is this saying when you always bump into each other, you are destined together. Wishful thinking. It would be amazing if its true. Oh well no one knows what the future holds except the Almighty.

I love the food during Dawlish girl open house yesterday. Too bad that I had to ration my intake to allow others to experience the exquisite cuisine prepared by the ladies. Gosh, am using huge word in a very wrong way.

Another good news. Am moving into Lakeside on Wednesday. Sharing with 9 people. All guys. I hope a nice balance between black and white. Judging from the plates on the sink, Im guessing white. As soon as I finish writing this post, I'll be at the post office to sent the invoice to London. I found out that RBA student receive 165 pound per month. I salute them for surviving up to this point, especially my dear cousin.

Ate at Min Zhu with Diyana, Ka Fizah and Ka Ain. Hillarious duo. : )

Till next time, have a nice day.

*Gasp*

I never met so many 'la la' in my life. One or two girl is acceptable, but a guy??? Lisyah you are so judgmental. No I'm not...after writing this at least. So yea, yesterday got ice breaking session with the Bruneians. Managed to memorize few names only but definetly remember all of the new faces. *Crossing fingers*

The food was nice. I liked the potato with tuna (Hopefully am right about the taste). Whoever made the food, can you make me some? I realized I don't have the same enthusiasm on Krispy Kream the way I did last year. Maturation in taste bud?

I love the first activity but really have a grudge on the last one. Wasted so much of my precious time but it was compensated when I figured out the pattern.

I got University later on Saturday. Heck, Uni on Saturday Lisyah? Yes, Uni on Saturday. Well, not educational (Probably browse through the recommended journal?), its just meeting up with the rest of the pepz before heading towards Birmingham Raya.

Got my mentee. Don't know if I should be excited or neutral about it. Already emailed her last night and hopefully she reply by today. The gender of the person is yet to be known. I can't predict gender from chinese name.

Hei you. Yes you. Whats your problem? Its over. Hear me its OVER. Why the cold shoulders? Darn wanna be. I hate 'penguin'.

Have a nice day
I won something. I won something. I won huge. I won huge.

My Shoes

To people who attacked me, I was hurt but will not hold any grudges against any of you. Its good to know that people hate my performance during the Raya Celebration. Although I must admit things might have been better if somebody else took my place. I apologize to those who I indirectly/directly offended during the event. It was not my intention to provoke such distaste towards me. My only intention was to make sure that everyone participated in the event. I believe that I did just that. However I do not take into my consideration the feelings of the audiences which I should have.

I believe that criticism is a good feedback for performance. If everything is always good, excellent, why do human created the word 'improve'? I will improve the next time opportunity comes. Again I apologize to those who are seriously offended during the event.

Now on the lighter note.

I agreed to join Singapore Society committee member. I applied for Psychology subcommittee. I'm searching for the nearest aikido club to Aston University. I busied myself with University life. I realized that my CV would probably less than a half a page long if I don't do anything but learning. There is no point having a first class if your qualification is just that. Its empty, void. You came here as you and go back to Brunei as you. A good thing? Probably not.

I'm advocating changes both mentally and physically. Am not saying changes like you begin to smoke, you begin to drink, thats not the changes am talking about. I'm stressing changes that is beneficial for you and the people around you. Ask yourself, what have I gained throughout my learning in UK?

More Bruneian friend. Check.
Cooking skill. Check.
Bill management. Check.
Online shopping expertise. Check.
Dancing on a mat. Check.
Weight gained. Check.

These are some of the things I gained since I came to UK. And it is not something am gonna write in my CV. That is why I'll be more involve with my university and definetely learn something useful to me and my immediate surrounding. So to all Bruneians in UK, involved yourself with the Uni. Its time to belong.

This morning I ate

Something arrived in the post today.

Moving to halls next week.

That is all for today. Have a nice day.

Back from London

I want to write but either am too busy or just plain lazy. Lots of things happened in London.

Finally the washing machine is working.

I'll write about my experience on being an emcee later, for now let me rest.

Updated on the same day due to excessive boredom after an hour of math revision

The emceeing was fun, working with Vivi was brilliant. The whole team was amazing. It started off pretty mono but things began to pick up after the Fatihah. With no practice and a last minute scripted conversations (Which was not utilized properly), we actually did pretty well. The second part of the celebration was more lively than the first. Perhaps the food provided the energy to be excited. Oh talking about the food, its worth the 15 pound.

There were a group of first years at the back of the hall who I believed, the most spirited teenagers. So lively. Aidah and the project pop rejects (The spirited teenagers) karaoked post event. They were funny. Really love them. Oh, we had a surprise guest, the J-ROCKS. Its an Indonesian band, google about them if you're interested. I had all four member's signatures on my ticket. : )

Lets move on to Amal and the girl's house. It was strategically located in the ever busy Bayswater area. With foods everywhere, it is a wonder why the girls have not gained a lot in stones. Anyways, I was amazed@sakai as I walked to the place. Admiring things like I've never seen them before in my life. I am like that. When something new comes into my perspective, the best way to appreciate it is to be amazed. I definetly visit them when Im going London.

I partially understood how to use the tube. Its a breakthrough for me. *Applause*

I paid 8 pounds for someone else to do my ironing for me.

I met Tasha Nur and was happy to see her. A year had passed since the last time we met. The meeting was brief but joyful.

Met Izah and glad she's adapting fine. Descendant of Jamil never failed to amazed the world.

My laundry completed but need to wait for Hajah for my drying rack.

Am to continue with my study, until next time.

Have a nice day.

It comes down to this...

I have narrowed down my choices to Lakeside and Heights. Praying so hard that lakeside is available...I know it is...well I am hoping it is...I just saw the advert that someone need a replacement...it would be me of course...haha...

Anyways, I've joined three societies so far, MASOC, AHKS and PsychoSoc. Next week am joining Table Tennis and possibly karate. It is only this year that I feel that I belong to the Uni. Getting involve with it. Oh have I mentioned that I'm a mentor. Me a mentor? My mentee shall love me like no other. Snob.

My laundry is increasing everyday and yet I have no plan to wash them. I go city tomorrow and ask the shop to do the washing for me. Only 9 pound. haha. Thats 20ish brunei dollar.

To club or not to club? 9 pm to 3 am!!! The next day go London. Better not but already confirm my RSVP. Free entrace to this broadstreet club. Free drinks@no can do. Maybe I should bring a bottle of water from home just in case. I am 80% sure am not going.

Very lazy to blog but still writing up to this point. I think I better stop.

Have a nice day
I smell not nice.

Make up your mind would cha!!!

Sometimes I am angry with myself for being so choosy. Here's the thing, I am torned between private halls and University Halls. Eh, what happened to the previous three places?

1. The Harborne (Along bus route 22) is not very practical. Walk 12 minutes to bus stop is not the exercise I had in mind.

2. The city centre for professionals only.

3. The Selly Park was a hoax.

So where is this private halls?
Its along Hagley's road. 9 minutes from Colmore Row.

So why the stress?
Simple, I want to stay Uni halls because its nearer to Uni. Don't need to buy bus pass. And Obviously can go Einstein. But the thing that bothers me is the cost of payment. According to my dearest, Hajah Diyana, it can be negotiated. So I'm trying my luck tomorrow. The termly payment could possibly put a pressure on my financial budget.

The Private hall's room is larger. It costs 65 per week, similar to Uni's hall. Another good thing is the gym, its free. Although bus stop to University is quiet far, the exercise should be beneficial. However, these descriptions are based on the information given to me by Vicki. I'm viewing the place this Wednesday. Let see where my heart really is.

Have a nice day.

My room atm

Bought a new samsonite bag and an eye refresher during the half day shopping. Most of the time window shopping. There are several items in mind to be purchased after I settle down. Settle down in my case is confirm accommodation. I got 11 more days before my current contract expires. I made up my mind, I think I am 90% sure I am moving out. Well that doesn't sound really assuring is it? What's the 10%? I don't know. Feel like saying it.

Cut my fingers when helping Yen on dinner. I learned how to cook rice without using rice cooker. *Jumping happily*. Seriously, language is a very bad barrier towards a successful networking. I nodded, smiled and remained silent. Thank God Yen could speak english.

Finishing up my reading today. Plans to spent the day productively.

Here are the condition of my room atm. Quiet messy.

I'm buying a new duvet cover soon. Its time to grow up and choose anime instead. haha

Have a nice day

PsychoSoc Greet N Meet...

I don't know if I got the event correct but definitely happened because I attended it. Met up with Helen and Lucy. Made a new friend, his name is Alex. That's it. Well, I was hoping to make more friends during the association of word games but had to leave because:

1. If the chain is broken, one must drink the forbidden drink, beer. Actually, the initial plan was to not drink but some blockheads wanted it.
2. Helen and Lucy were leaving the place early. The thought of me alone with strangers (They could might been a new social contacts) is not motivating.

Nothing much to write really. Am going to Cambridge in the next 2 weeks. I hope Michelle join the wagon. Have I mentioned about her? No right. She's the super cute girl I met during the MASOC welcome party who takes psychology. If not because of that David, our conversation would end in exchange of contacts. There is another cute girl, Jane Xu. She's Yen (Cool girl that resonates perfectly well with my being) hall's mate. Am not sure if I spelt her name correctly because I couldn't found her using that spelling under facebook.

Saw KN smoked in front of the library. Quoting Hjh Diyana "Minus points", she couldn't be more any near to the truth. Oh well, she could learn to stop smoking.

Its seems that am gonna miss a lot of Bruneian session this month. Ice breaking next Friday. Am going to London. Starbuck tomorrow and am shopping with Yen. Not bad considering that I'll be hanging out at her hall and possibly meeting the black eye lady. Am not using Yen for that purpose ok. One stone kill two birds...correct ka?

Did my houseviewing in the afternoon. I like the room. So big, can fit three people on the floor. All bills inclusive. The landlord very friendly. Very excited to meet a Bruneian. Told me am the first Bruneian he met. The only problem is thatt he bus stop to city centre is 15 minutes walk. So I decided to check out the house at Selly Park and one at H something road. I hope they reply my message soon. But of course, if somebody could tell me how I can get to Harborne from city centre that house is a definite yes.

Have a nice day.

Welcome Party

Last night went to MASOC and Singaporean Society joint welcome party. It was fun. Better than expected...wait let me rephrase that, out of my expectation. I really like the ice breaking games. I got to know lots of people from the party. Believe it or not, there were only 4 malays during the party. Me, Nik, Hazim and Nadir.

Its just amazing how friendly these people are, just like the Bruneians here. My 3 hours were well spent. Another party this Friday and I hope I got to know more people. Now I feel a little sense of belonging. You know, part of the University.

Didn't took enough pictures so I'm grabbing it from the Society's website.

I haven't decided whether to stay or move out of first avenue. People who had been reading my blog since messiah should know that I am very indecisive on certain things. Am house viewing a house somewhere along bus route 22. 59 pound per week inclusive of all bills. I have two other alternatives, one is in city centre cost around 69 pound and one is in Selly Park cost around 75 pound. The latter is en suite. Both are inclusive of bills.

So Lisyah what happen to the house in Alton road?
I don't know. It is safe to assume that both of them already signed the contract.

So What you gonna do about it?
Have you ever heard the phrase 'trust your instinct'? I'm doing things on the guidance of my instinct. Something about Alton house that doesn't resonate with my being. I have seen the photos and I don't like it.

Didn't you promise them to stay with them?
I didn't make any promises. Call me evil but I don't want to go through what I went through last year twice.

Why are you so 'selective'?
Everyone have preferences, I'm just making sure I use that personality of mine to full use.

Aren't you gonna find a replacement?
Nope. I did my part last year, one time is enough for me.

You're just evil...
You noticed?

Just to clarify things, they are the good guys, am the bad guy. You are reading the bad guy's view on the situation.

Have a nice day.

Second thoughts

Second thoughts...more like the third time. This what bothers me, later am suppose to sign the new house contract and they (The agent) need 500+++ quids. I don't have that much. Well, to be honest, I have but once I use it I'll be begging on the streets. Am serious. Haven't look at the house yet. According to them (Kash and Munawwir), the h0use is good. Four rooms, three ok sizes and one small size.
Apparently there is a huge difference between the biggest room and the smallest room. Munawwir suggested that person who got the biggest should contribute towards the smallest room to be fair. Now, why don't I think of that in the first place? The thought of Shuhir or Sepol contributing some money towards my rent...out of question. Bah, let see how it goes later, for one thing am not bringing any money. Need to see the house.

Bye Bye Brunei

I hate it when parents always think that they know whats best for their kids. Its annoying!!!! Just because I want to look different doesn't mean I want to become somebody else. Do they know the motivation behind these changes? The hair colour, The eye, everything. Do they? My parent never listened, they just talked. Talked talked talked. The only thing they gave me this morning was another reason to not go back Brunei next year. Hrmmmfffff.

AidilFitri

Oh my God. I am so malu at myself. Big guy like me don't know how to play badil. My sister (Yes, a girl) taught me how to play one of those small bomb. My first try was not successful. It was not properly ignited when I threw it. Out of 4 tries, only one was successful. That success cannot be replicated without my sister beside me. And because of that, I decided to stick with bunga api. Pathethic but fun. Its like casting one of those Harry Potter spell.

Its raya today, and I wished all my readers a Happy Aidilfitri. Forgive me if I ever offended any of you through my writings or actions. And there would probably a next time. I save the apology for next raya. Rest assure for one whole month, no ill post.

Another exciting news, I got only two days of lecture per week. More spare time than last year. Since 25% contribute towards my degree, fun time must be under control. Am not gonna miss any lecture this Monday since there is nothing to attend to on that day!!! And this will continue hopefully till the end of second year. Can visit cousin in London if got the will to do so.

Where you study?
Birmingham.
Wah got many Kaling there.
Yea.

Birmingham associated with Kaling and black crow. Already 25 kg my luggage. Hopefully I dont go beyond the allowance.

Have a nice day.
I love you sweetheart (Just feel like saying it, so jealous of people who keep writing them down at the end of their post, so beautiful and rosy.)
